Failure is an option

Last night I failed horribly in a conversation. I feel as if those people that always put me down are right... I don't know... I don't know. I won't be blogging or using the phone for a few days...

Hey--I know what it's like to feel completely down. You think that no one understands you, so you give up on communication b/c...what's the point? So you go through life with a stretched smile stuck on your face so that people won't ask "what's wrong?" when really inside you feel like you're wasting away. I still feel this every once in a while--but for the most part I've learned that when I stop trying to figure out what I'm feeling and start doing other things--like helping other people out, going out of my way to be nice to someone else, spend extra time in my devotions and sharing them... God helps me see past the empty feelings and replaces them with his blessing.
You're probably going through a lot now. I'm sure some of it has to do with change. New expectations, new experiences, new enemies... I'll pray for you!

Failure - or what we perceive as a failure - is but temporary. It is impossible to 'win' at everything.

Romans 8:26-30
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Note it says ALL things work together for the good.

I hate it when that happens, like, you're talking, and then when the conversation is over, you wanna smack yourself in the head and go "Moron!!" but shen lo is right. it'll help you next conv. to improve. although that doesn't changed the botched up one. I know exactly how you feel.
